and complete electric systems for homes, cabins, remote site and
back-up power at very competitive prices. Renewable energy is the future, its here! use the solar power! There are plans for new regulations to come into force on all new proper try construction here in Spain next year which should make you think before choosing your source of energy. New regulations
Among the large variety of quality solar products we sell are solar
panels, solar controllers, wind generators, inverters, batteries
and a whole lot more. All of our products are made by leading solar
energy manufactures such as: Astropower, Kyocera, Morningstar, Sharp,
Shell, Sunwize, Xantrex and Unisolar just to name a few.
Solar energy is clean and free!
Have
you ever wondered why there aren't many homes using solar power
in Spain? There is an abundance of SUN and with real breakthroughs
in solar technology there is no reason why solar power isn't being
used significantly more than it is. The latest solar technology
can offer full time electricity to run the most modern of homes
365 days of the year. (Ironically more than mains electricity which
is constantly cut off for long periods of time) and once installed......its
FREE!!!
Some
of the homes we sell in this inland Spain area come without electricity
connected and up until now it was a problem, connection can occasionally
be fairly expensive and there can be a lengthy wait for connection
in some remote areas. Indeed some very remote areas and protected
national park areas you cannot have electricity connected at all,
the options were limited and sometimes expensive, the cheapest company
offering solar power in the area was in the region of £12,000/18,000€, UNTIL NOW!! now we are able to offer the very latest solar
systems at nearly half the cost of our competitors.
Photovoltaic solar power
is one of the most promising renewable energy sources in the world.
Compared to nonrenewable sources such as coal, gas, oil, and nuclear,
the advantages are clear: it's totally non-polluting, has no moving
parts to break down, and does not require much maintenance. A very
important characteristic of photovoltaic power generation is that
it does not require a large scale installation to operate, as different
from conventional power generation stations. Power generators can
be installed in a DISTRIBUTED fashion, on each house or business or
school, using area that is already developed, and allowing individual
users to generate their own power, quietly and safely.
How practical
is solar for home and mobile home use?
These days, it's very
practical, especially for remote homes. Until solar power came along,
people who wanted to live in remote areas frequently had to pay large
fees to have a power cable run to their house. Now, a remote home
can be virtually self-sufficient with solar power. Even in areas where
power lines are nearby, solar may be a viable alternative to being
connected to a power company. An average home has more than enough
roof area to produce enough solar electricity to supply all of its
power needs. With an inverter, which converts direct current (DC)
power from the solar cells to alternating current (AC), which is what
most home appliances run on, a solar home can look and operate very
much like a home that is connected to a power line.
EXAMPLE PRICES small system 2KW per day
approx.: £5000/7,000€
This is a complete kit for remote power for a holiday home, cabin,
summerhouse, outbuilding etc.
This system produces up to 2Kwh of usable power per day. It is capable
of powering TV's, DVD's, Stereos, swimming pool pump , lighting or
small appliances.

Heat
your Swimming Pool
SMART
SOLAR thermal solar technology is the cost effective way to heat
swimming pools, whether they are Olympic size or simply a small
domestic pool. Instead of using expensive and inefficient fossil fuel
to heat your pool use the natural light of the sun, a free source
of energy.
Our Philosophy
Heating your swimming pool by traditional fossil fuel is very expensive
and very wasteful of the planet's resources. Burning gas or oil creates
harmful emissions and increases our fuel dependency for sourcing our
energy from parts of the world that may not always be stable, friendly
or even capable of supplying our fuel needs.
We accordingly design pool systems using indirect heat exchange systems,
high quality thermal panels that we build ourselves in Europe which
we guarantee to perform for ten years. The panels are designed to
have a life span of more than 35 years and are made from easily recyclable
materials, such as aluminium, copper and glass.
Pools should be heated
to around 28°C. If you heat your pool to any significantly
higher temperature algae and bacteria can cause problems unless you
increase the chlorine levels significantly. Temperatures lower than
about 25°C are uncomfortable for most people. Thermal solar systems
provide pool temperatures within the recommended range in most locations
without the need to have a boiler system or an electric heating system.
These levels of performance are not possible in Northern latitudes
in winter, when the daylight hours are short.
When your pool system is designed your our approved installer will
provide you with an estimate, based on meteorological conditions,
of the performance range your system will provide.
An array of thermal solar
panels is installed on a south facing roof or south facing poolside
area. The amount of panels required depends upon the size of the pools
and the performance needed. The panels are connected through a sealed
circuit to a specially designed chlorine resistant pool heat exchanged.
The sealed circuit is filled with an edible glycol solution (in places
where below freezing temperatures can be experienced).
When light from the panels strikes the absorber surfaces heat is created.
If the pool requires the heat a modulating pump pushes the glycol
solution (and the heat it carries) to the heat exchanger. The heat
exchanger carries the heat (but not the glycol) to the pool water
that is pumped through it. The heat exchange operation is carried
out immediately before the pool water is returned into the pool, after
it has been filtered.
Old fashioned thermal solar panels look ugly; they usually cannot
be integrated and if the pool water flows through them they have to
be cleaned and de scaled and often have a short pool life.
Our panels have been designed to be thin, aesthetically acceptable
and yet light enough to be installed on pool side buildings.
What is the pay back of course, if you heat your pool by oil or gas,
there is no payback. It's all an expense. Pay back varies according
to where your pool is, indoor or outdoor, is it covered at night,
etc.,..
. Playback can be as low as 18 months.

Spain makes solar panels mandatory in new buildings
By David Sharrock
SPAIN wants to take advantage of its sunshine by making solar panels compulsory in new and renovated buildings — to save fuel costs and to improve the environment.
Jose Montilla, the Industry Minister, has announced that from next year, anyone who intends to build a home will be obliged to include solar panels in their plans, with the aim of turning Spain from a straggler to a European leader in the use of renewable energy.
With the price of oil rising above $50 a barrel (£27), solar energy could produce savings of at least €80 (£50) a year on fuel to heat domestic water supplies per household, and reduce greenhouse gases, the Government said.
But critics of the Government’s plans say that the installation of solar panels would increase construction costs by between €1,100 and €1,400 per dwelling.
Property prices have doubled since 1999 as part of a housing boom in Spain which shows no signs of cooling.
The new construction regulation will affect more than half a million new houses a year, if the current pace of construction is maintained.
The Socialist Government, led by José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, the Prime Minister, is seeking a tenfold increase in the area of solar panels in use in Spain by the year 2010, from the present total of 581,000 sq metres.
Spain lags far behind Germany, Europe’s current solar energy leader, where 5.4 million sq metres of solar panels are currently in use. But in spite of its low domestic usage, Spain is one of the world’s biggest manufacturers of solar panels.
According to official estimates, installation of solar panels in 3.5 million dwellings built in the past five years in Spain would have yielded a fuel cost saving of €245 million.
Señor Montilla promised subsidies to encourage further take-up of solar panels and to ease the financial pain of the new measure, but he did not give further details.
A single two-metre solar panel on the roof of a home can cut its water-heating bills by up to 70 per cent a year, according to government estimates. Three years ago Seville, the Andalusian capital, introduced the same measure which the Government now intends to adopt nationwide.
