Environmentally friendly and non toxic Ytong blocks From the manufacturing process to shipment, construction, and waste disposal YTONG® is in ecological balance. YTONG block and YTONG panel are short for AAC/ALC. Owing to its light weight properties, fire resistance qualities, thermal protection, sound-insulation, anti-penetrability etc., the YTONG’s product has currently been widely used for residential, commercial, factory and building external block walls, fire block walls, decorative fascias on homes, etc. A very versatile building system.

Good sound insulation and absorption - effective sound barrier The natural air cushion formed in the high-pressure steam curing of Ytong blocks creates a fantastic sound insulator |
|
Ensures comfortable living. YTONG® reduces temperature differences and humidity fluctuations and therefore creates a comfortable and healthy room atmosphere. |

Excellent workability It is an easy system to work with and structures can be built very quickly and precisely using a minimum number of tools. |
|
Outstanding thermal insulation Keeps buildings cool in summer and warm in winter saving on heating and air-conditioning. R-20 equivalent without additional materials, Lower energy costs, Out performs wood and concrete masonry construction, Provides air-tight controlled ventilation |
|
High fire rating Ytong blocks are resistant to high temperatures for a longer period of time than any other solid building material. YTONG® is especially chosen for fireproof walls in commercial buildings. |

Quicker build times Ytong is a rapid build system. Ytong blocks have large dimensions (60 x 25 cm) but weigh remarkably little. They have ergonomic handles and tongue-and-groove joints, making them easier to use and simpler to stack. The diagram opposite shows that fewer Ytong blocks are required for a 1m2 wall (6.6 Ytong blocks/m2) than concrete blocks or bricks. Obviously this saves labour costs. In addition to this, there is no need to install additional insulation. In this way, you avoid technical problems that could arise due to poor installation .Ytong blocks are bonded. It takes less time to prepare thin bed mortar than it does to produce traditional mortar. Also, the amount of thin bed mortar used is significantly less thanks to the smaller joints between the Ytong blocks. This means less manual work and rapid villa building!!. Ytong blocks can be easily sawn. Again saving valuable time and making this a very easy eco friendly system to build with. |

Performs well in earthquake zones Thanks to its low weight and its plastic deformation properties the destructive force of earthquakes are minimised. |

A well-insulated property is extremely important, financially and in terms of the environment, which affects us all. Also, there are new legal rules and checks concerning thermal insulation on most properties. An overall thermal insulation level of K55 applies to the property as a whole. A heat transmission coefficient “U” of less than 0.27 W/m2K must be observed for the outer walls. To satisfy the conditions imposed in most European countries, the U-values must be less than 0.6 W/m2K. With Ytong and our other ECO build systems this target can be achieved easily. In each case, these values are so low that extra insulation material becomes superfluous and the overall insulation level K55 is very easily achieved. |
